Looking back at our summer 2018 program where children worked with Raspberry Pi 3 B+ boards. Students flashed Raspbian Linux onto their micro SD cards and fired up their DIY computers over a four-day intensive camp.
Daily Activities
- Morning Linux practice sessions
- Afternoon breaks featuring Roblox and Minecraft gameplay
- Building custom Alexa enclosures
- Developing concepts for future inventions
What Students Learned
Participants gained substantial technical knowledge, learning about data centers and cloud computing fundamentals. Children demonstrated their handmade Alexa devices and presented invention ideas to parents at the program's conclusion.
Featured DIY Alexa Projects
The students created amazing custom Alexa enclosures with creative names:
- "Alexa Went To Vegas" - Divya's design
- "Pink Flamingo" - Anshu's creation
- "Cuteness Overload" - Megha's project
- "Color Cube" - Aarush's build
- "Simple But Deadly" - Rana's design
